NIKON ZR

THE CAMERA

The Nikon ZR is a compact full-frame cinema camera designed to deliver professional image quality in a lightweight, rental-friendly body. It supports internal 6K RAW recording, oversampled 4K up to 120fps, and offers over 15 stops of dynamic range for strong flexibility in post-production. With RED R3D NE codec integration and advanced colour science, it fits easily into high-end cinema workflows and matches well with other professional systems.

A major advantage is its internal 32-bit float audio recording with OZO microphone technology, which captures clean, distortion-free sound without complex gain staging or external recorders. Dual base ISO performance and strong low-light capability make it reliable in a wide range of shooting conditions. Combined with its built-in monitoring tools, stabilisation, and fast autofocus, the ZR is an efficient all-in-one solution ideal for documentary, commercial, and run-and-gun production work.
